Clowning for Improvisers
A three hour workshop hosted by George Fenn, which teaches core clown techniques, then explores how a performer can weaponize them for Improv Comedy.
Participants will leave the workshop with a strong understanding of Triangulation with an Audience, Discovering the Subject and Emotional Flexibility, then be able to apply these ideas to actively listen to their teammates, find the game of the scene as well as accept, extend and advance emotional offers.
The workshop is suitable for performers with an intermediate understanding of improv who are looking for new perspectives on their play.

The workshop will begin at 2:00PM at New Athenaeum Theatre.
There will be one 15 min break and one 10 min break.
Limited to 10 performers and costs $60 (booking fee included
About the presenter
George Fenn is a multi-hyphenate performer who performs with a style which fuses Improvisation and Clowning. Among their industry recognition they have been awarded the Spirit of the Fringe for the NZ Fringe and last year won the Organised Chaos Award at the Auckland Fringe with their flagship show, Sexy Ghost Boy.
