Clowning for Stand Up Comedy - Auckland
Event description
Clowning for Stand-Up
A three hour workshop hosted by George Fenn, which teaches core clown techniques, then explores how a performer can weaponize them for Stand Up Comedy and Storytelling.
Participants will leave the workshop with a strong understanding of Triangulation with an Audience, Discovering the Subject and Emotional Flexibility, then be able to apply these ideas to their own content to add tension, complexity and responsiveness to their performance.
The workshop is suitable to performers who have some experience performing stand up comedy, and are able to bring 2-3 mins of their own content to work with during the workshop.
The workshop will begin at 2:00PM at Cardboard Comedy, being open from 1:30PM.
There will be one 15 min break and one 10 min break.
Limited to 10 participants and costs $60 .
