Club Chrome
Event description
Club Chrome is a collective consisting of queer pole dancers and artists at the various intersections of the POC and sex worker communities, whose work explores and pushes the boundaries of pole dance as an art form while always referring back to pole’s origins in sex work. Club Chrome is invested in showcasing art from bodies that may otherwise be unrepresented, and performs regularly to sold-out crowds in both queer spaces, such as Heaps Gay, House of Mince, and the Red Rattler, and spaces normally delineated by class, race, and convention, such as the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Vivid Sydney, and the National Art School.
This Club Chrome night is a fundraiser to raise money for an exhibition of s3x worker and ally artists at Firstdraft Gallery opening on 30th March called Wh0r3s 4eva, curated by Katie Winten - with all profits going towards artist fees, exhibition materials and install fees. Help us directly pay s3x worker and ally visual and performance artists to create new work!
