Club Connect - Funding and Fundraising Workshop
Event description
Acquiring adequate funding as a sports club for new infrastructure, sporting equipment, or community events can be a challenge when time is limited. Our free Funding and Fundraising workshop will explore key ways sporting clubs can effectively fundraise for their clubs. This hybrid (online and in-person) workshop will also go over current key funding opportunities to consider, and how the Town of Victoria Park can help with local government grant opportunities.
We will have Jack Connell from the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) share the work that ASF does in helping clubs raise much-needed funds through their unique fundraising platform. Jack will elaborate on how and what clubs can fundraise for, how to create a good fundraising story, and how to get started on fundraising with the ASF. We will also have Mark Toomath and James Pervan from the Department of Local Government, Sport, and Cultural Industries talk through the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF), Club Night Lights Program, and other grant funding opportunities available to sporting clubs. Our last speaker for the night will be Judy Toll, The Town of Victoria Park’s grants and donations officer, talking through the role of the Town in helping sporting clubs with grant opportunities, the Sports Equipment Grants, and some top tips for grant applicants.
