Event description

We took a month off to get muddy in the grass at Splendour, but CLUB Ctrl is back on dry land on Saturday 27th August with a return to the Club 77 basement to continue our monthly residency. Fresh for the August ROADBLOCK with Frank Booker and AROHA, CLUB Ctrl returns to the legendary Club 77 basement on Saturday 24th September with a super extended open-to-close set from underground hero Luen performing three very special b2b sets across the night together with cherished Sydney selectors GiRLTHING, Santamaria Brothers and Tangela.

It’s been a MASSIVE 12 months for Luen with a standout performance for Boiler Room, her on-going Beats Of No Nation radio show and joining the Motorik! Records family. With squelchy electro EP ‘Strange Purpose’ taking her production to new heights, Luen has been red hot on the road with a residency at Lost Sundays, notable appearances at Byron Bay’s secret Tunnel Rave and Motorik’s infamous warehouse parties amongst a national run of headline club shows. Luen is back at Lost Paradise for the New Year bringing her applauded DJ Workshop series that is open exclusively to female, trans and non-binary identifying people.

Luen hand-picked the DJs to join her across September’s open-to-close adventure. GiRLTHING founder and all-round Sydney hero Jacqui Cunningham takes her cues on the night, alongside Cities of Gold vibe-starters Santamaria Brothers (aka long-standing Aussie electronic heroes and co-founders of Motorik!) and FBi Radio host and Sydney-club-slayer Tangela

We acknowledge the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the land where we host our event and we pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. Free tickets are available for First Nations People. Please email events@undrctrl.com for details.
