    Club Meetings 101

    Overview:

    Monthly meetings are when and where the Committee should be doing its most important work. The structure and processes of these meetings can make or break a Club. This module is all about making your meetings effective, inclusive, satisfying, productive and legally compliant. The module will also ensure that you understand your Committee's legal responsibilities for General and Annual General meetings.

    Who should attend:

    • All Club Presidents or Chairpersons
    • All Board or Committee members
    • All Subcommittee Chairpersons
    • All Subcommittee Members
    • Club Managers

    What we'll cover:

    • the elements of an effective Board or Committee meeting
    • what makes a great Agenda
    • what makes great Board Reports
    • role and responsibilities of the Chairperson, the Secretary and other participants
    • example Meeting Procedure policy
    • making the most of the different views, skills and experiences around the table
    • formal meeting procedures (including Points of Order)
    • what Minutes should include and exclude
    • dealing with unacceptable behaviour
    • difference between Committee and Subcommittee meetings

    • opportunities for participants to ask questions during the workshop or webinar
    • links to useful resources and tools that you can start using immediately
    • information about where to get more help.
