Wed, Oct 28, 2pm - 5pm EDT

Description

Participants will explore conflict and define re-enactment (the drama triangle) as behavior that is rooted in the neurobiological impacts of trauma. Participants will consider what drives behavior, identify three different roles in the drama triangle, and learn empowering, practical strategies to escape the drama triangle in both professional and personal interactions.

We request that participants join this virtual class with camera and microphone capability, as this will be a very interactive class.

This training provides three (3) contact hours, CEU applicable for most professions. A certificate of attendance will be provided via email after the class.

FAQs

  • Are there any pre-requisites for this course?

No, but if you would like to have more background in Trauma Informed Care before we meet, please take our free Introduction to Trauma Informed Care on our Thinkific site.

  • How will I access this online event?

The Zoom link will be emailed to the email address on your registration at least two days before the event.

  • Will the class be recorded?

No, in order to allow for deeper discussion and to uphold confidentiality of the participants, this class will not be recorded.

  • How much will I be expected to participate?

We do ask that participants join with video and microphone capability as much as possible. We aim to create a virtual space that is similar to an in-person event, with time to connect with other participants, share insights, apply information, and discuss your own experiences. There will be breakout discussions as well as full-group discussions and activities. We will not force anyone to share; we will also monitor contributions to keep the class on time and allow for multiple perspectives to be shared.

  • What is the schedule for the class?

We will begin promptly at 1pm Central Time and conclude at 4pm CT. We will take two short breaks during the session.

  • What is the refund policy?

Refunds will be automatically granted upon request up to 7 days prior to the event, at the rate of 80% of the registration fee due to nonrefundable processing fees.
