Event description

The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia (CME) invites you to our Annual Business Lunch, featuring an engaging panel discussion with three of WA’s top political commentators.

2024 is being billed as the biggest election year in history, with more voters than ever before heading to the polls in at least 64 countries plus the European Union, representing almost half the world’s population.

Closer to home, WA and Australia are preparing to elect (or re-elect) their new Premier and Prime Minister in just over 12 months. So what does this all mean for the local business community and mining and energy sector in WA in terms of policies and agendas? Will the outcome of this year’s US and UK elections be felt for decades to come?

To examine what we can expect from our state, national and international leaders this year, join us over a delicious two-course meal to hear insights from:

  • Gemma Tognini – GT Communications Managing Director, Sky News Commentator
  • Daniel Smith – Executive Chair/Founder ReGen Strategic, former Labor Government adviser
  • Jason Marocchi – Managing Partner GRA Partners, former Liberal Government adviser

11:30am registration for a 12:00pm start.
