The Chamber of Minerals & Energy of Western Australia (CME) and our Women in Resources Awards Sponsor, Woodside Energy, are delighted to invite you to the annual WIRA Networking Sundowner in Karratha.
Join us for an evening of connection and insight as we welcome two of the winners from the 2025 Women in Resources Awards:
Julie Fallon
Executive Vice President, Technical & Energy Development – Woodside Energy
Winner of the Outstanding Woman in Resources Award 2025, Julie was the first female operations manager of an LNG plant in Australia, overseeing the Karratha Gas Plant. She has since held senior leadership roles across Woodside and now leads global technical and project development teams. Julie is also President of the Australian Resources and Energy Employer Association (AREEA), only the second woman to hold the role in more than 100 years.
Irene Chandra
Operations Readiness Lead – Woodside Energy
Winner of the Outstanding Young Woman in Resources Award 2025, Irene has led major shutdown, offshore campaign execution and international shipyard completions work, taking on significant responsibilities early in her career. She has also co-founded a tutoring program for disadvantaged students, supported Indigenous students in Australia, and contributed to mentoring and STEM outreach.
Together, Julie and Irene will share their journeys, the challenges they’ve overcome, and the lessons that shaped their careers. Their stories will provide inspiration and practical advice for navigating opportunities and change. The session will conclude with an open Q&A with the audience.
