Co-Educators Introduction to Writing Workshop (Limestone Coast) - Morning Group
Event description
Introduction to Writing Workshop for Co-educators
(Bookmaking and Writer's Notebooks)
Amanda Bartram
Teachers and children rely on co-educators (ECWs, SSOs, PSWs, BSSOs) as they embrace the wonderful messiness that is learning. This is never more apparent than in Writing Workshop when ‘just right, just in time’ learning happens every day!
We have developed our Co-educators' “Introduction to Writing Workshop” with just this in mind.
Co-educators from sites using the Bookmaking and Writer’s Notebook pedagogical approaches to teach writing are invited to join us for two mornings of professional development about:
- The Writing Workshop approach – an overview
- Key principles of Bookmaking and Writer’s Notebook
- How to support the teacher and children during mini lessons and reflection time
- How to ‘nudge’ young writers into their learning
- Being a writer who models strong writing habits
Please note that this is a two part workshop, registration is for both mornings!
Part 1 - Friday 26th June, 2020 - 9.00am - 12.00pm and
Part 2 - Friday 31st July, 2020 - 9.00am - 12.00pm
