Co-op x Crossroads Presents: Renaissance and Rituals Party
Event description
This event takes place on the stolen lands of the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples, and we pay respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. This land is stolen and colonial violence is ongoing. As settlers, we engage with ongoing colonisation and systems that continue to hurt and dispossess Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. Sovereignty was never ceded and reparations must be active and constant. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
Co-op party is back! We’re collaborating with Crossroads for a night of music and (hopefully) frivolity — the theme is Renaissance & Rituals, so bring your sacrificial goats and your best jester’s hat.
There’ll be an open mic from 4 until 5:30, then live music until late with a lineup of:
- dog country (⅔ of dogworld)
- freight
- spouse
- freezer
- SATURNULTRA
- assorted DJs (after 10).
Tickets are $10 through pre-order or $15 at the door — free entry for First Nations peoples, just send an email to canberracoop@gmail.com. All profits go to supporting affordable housing and local First Nations communities.
This is an inclusive event with zero tolerance for discrimination or bigotry of any kind. Any forms of racism, homophobia, ableism or xenophobia will not be tolerated.
