Coastal Futures Challenge 2026
Description
Coastal Futures Challenge
Make an impact by joining the Coastal Futures Challenge!
The Coastal Futures Challenge brings together TAFE and university students from across Perth to restore and protect our coastline by planting over 2,000 native seedlings at Sandtrax Beach, North Fremantle.
Hosted by Perth NRM, with support from Volunteering WA and the City of Fremantle, this is a great opportunity for students to connect with like-minded people, gain hands-on experience in coastal restoration, and make a meaningful contribution to Perth's coastal environment.
Whether you're passionate about conservation, looking to build hands-on environmental skills, or simply keen to get involved in your community, we'd love to see you there.
What to expect
🌱 Plant native seedlings to restore coastal dunes and provide food sources and habitat for local fauna.
🧠 Test your skills in our Coastal Scavenger Hunt.
🤝 Meet and connect with students from TAFEs and universities across Perth.
