Many Australian manufacturers are aware of collaborative robotics (cobots) but lack the practical knowledge, strategic frameworks, and workforce readiness to confidently implement them. These workshops have been created to support businesses in taking that next step in enabling them to take action, especially among SMEs and cross-functional teams who need to understand not just the technology, but also how to align it with business goals, safety standards, and workforce capabilities.

Through a combination of hands-on demonstrations, expert led workshops, and strategic discussions, each workshop equips participants with the knowledge, tools, and frameworks needed to make informed decisions about cobot adoption.

Choice of Workshop

Participants will need to register for the workshops they wish to attend. Workshops are discounted when more than one is booked.

• 9:00am - 10:30am: Getting Started with Cobots

  • Focus: programming, cobot terminology, safety

  • A foundational introduction to collaborative robots, covering technical concepts, safety, and ethical considerations.

• 10:30am to 12:00pm: No-Code Vision Quality Assurance: Train, Test, Deploy with Cobots

  • Focus: Inspection, traceability, ergonomic efficiency

  • Important: Please bring your laptop (USB connection preferred)

  • A practical session on using no-code machine learning tools and cobots for automated visual inspection.

• 12:30pm to 2:00pm: Demystifying Cobots – XR, Human Factors, and Planning Tools

  • Focus: Simulation, human factors, planning tools

  • This session will showcase human-centred design strategies and tools for planning cobot integration.

• 2:00pm to 3:30pm: A Framework for Understanding, Evaluating, and Designing Cobot Solutions

  • Focus: Strategic alignment, design-led evaluation, planning

  • A hands-on session exploring frameworks for designing, evaluating, and implementing cobot solutions.

• 3:30pm to 5:00pm: Introducing New Technology: Workforce Implications

  • Focus: Change management, skills gaps, workforce engagement

  • A strategic session focused on preparing teams for cobot adoption through work design and future skills planning.

This workshop is aligned with CPD criteria for Engineers Australia, AHRI, and other professional bodies. A certificate of attendance will be provided.
