Event description
Join local bird enthusiast and naturalists Christopher Biddulph & John Tucker as they guide you through the Carnaby Nesting area which is the most Southern patch of big Salmon Gums in Western Australia. Both Chris & John are founding members of Carnaby Cockatoo Alliance and are nuts about the Carnaby Cockatoo.Plus hunt for wildflowers in and around the area of Cocanarup. Visit the Kukenarup Reconciliation Memorial on the way home and maybe find a few orchids.
Meet opposite BP Ravensthorpe in the RV Rest area.
This is a 2WD self drive tour however leader John Tucker request for people to share a car to reduce the impact on the environment.
BYO Water, lunch.snacks ,chair, water and binoculars if you have them.
You will also need insect spray and wear suitable clothing and footwear.
In the event of heavy rain this excursion may be cancelled.
