    This will be a fun filled coffee educational weekend made up of many talented specialty coffee professionals and enthusiasts from around the world networking and sharing their unique experiences that will aid in bringing sustainable and realistic opportunities for the participants and the industry.

    Breakout Classes (You'll have an opportunity to select 3 from the list below):

    Diversity, Equity and Inclusion conversation- Join Tiffany, of Collective Action for Youth, for a conversation to explore ways to build awareness of personally biases and how they might show up in the workplace. Participants will walk away with tools they can put into action today!

    Shop Owners Conversation- Break The F***ing Paradigm - How To Build and Be A Part of Something That Matters In Coffee and Beyond. Hear from every level of the Bridge City team (barista, shift lead, head roaster, admin, and founder) and Doshi House on how they’ve built something much bigger than just coffee shops and ways you can do that too.

    Green Beans: Buying and Shipping - Join Chris, of Purefi Coffee Roasters, as he shares all the details on how to buy and ship green beans to get started and sustain in roasting.

    Brew Methods: French Press - Learn all the basics of brewing with a French Press from Antoine "Twizz" of Blacksmith.

    Brew Methods: Aeropress - Learn all the basics of brewing with Aeropress from LaNisa, of Barista Life LA.

    Brew Methods: V60 (en espanol)- Learn all the basics of brewing on a V60 with David (of Tipping Point Coffee) and Pedro. (Class is in Spanish)

    Latte Art- Join Maxie and Hya for an interactive session all about latte art.

    Cxffeeblack - In this workshop, Cxffeeblack will engage learners in a cogenerative dialogue to explore the often understated complexities of visiting origin as a person of African descent. We will identify key wonderings and frameworks to prepare for this experience physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially. Attendees will also get the first opportunity to apply to join Cxffeeblack’s inaugural group origin trip to Ethiopia and Rwanda, occurring in November of 2023.

    Self Care & Coffee - Korie "KP" will give you the tools to make sure you're taking care of yourself inside and outside of the coffee industry.

    Building Community in Coffee- Join Niki, of Not Caffeinated Enough, or Keith Hawkins, CEO of The Color of Coffee Collective, as they go over ways to build your cafe community, find out the needs of your community and how you can best serve your community as part of a cafe.

    Financing Your Dreams/Financial Literacy - Join Brandon as he shares how you can make your dreams a reality through financing options and what you'll need in order to kickstart your ventures.

    Barista Conversations: Join John and Jasmin as they cultivate a space for baristas to shed light on the gap between baristas and leadership with the focus on building better leaders within the cafe and community. The role of a barista goes beyond the bar!
