CODA CHROMA "LUMINOUS AS IT IS" ALBUM LAUNCH @ TRADES HALL BALLAARAT

Coda Chroma will launch their fourth album LUMINOUS AS IT IS at Ballarat Trade's Hall with an intimate trio show led by award-winning songwriter Kate Lucas, keys & harmonies from Natalie Lewis and cello accompaniment.

A companion piece to Coda Chroma's 2023 LP release Dreamself, LUMINOUS AS IT IS features nylon string guitars, vintage synths, and compelling vocal melodies. Although the songs move through a range of musical genres including jazz, pop, and psychedelia this album is undeniably the most folky Coda record so far.

The album takes its name from Mary Oliver's poem "Summer Morning" and is a snapshot in time of Kate's perpetual songwriting practice and her deep connection to nature. The album is steeped in themes of consumerism, environmentalism, friendship, and death, expressed through Coda Chroma's signature poetic, abstract lens.
