Event description
Coercive Control in the Context of Family ViolenceÂ
One-day Masterclass delivered onlineÂ
This one-day masterclass aims to explore and develop our understanding of coercive control in the context of family violence through a social entrapment and resistive violence model.Â
The course will explore how we can effectively work with victims/survivors, and users of violence to ensure identification and reduction of risk and lethality factors, gain a deeper understanding of our role and responsibilities as part of a service system response, and how to safety and manage risk through a structured professional judgment lens.Â
This course utilises the West Australian Common Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework (CRARMF), which has been developed in line with National Competency and the National Action Plan to End Gendered Violence against Women and Children.Â
