Coffee & Lyrics - December - Presented by Freo Groove

We are delighted to announced that our feature artist for “Coffee & Lyrics” on Sunday December 7th will be multi award-winning singer songwriter, Jessie Gordon.

Jessie is a force of nature -an extraordinary performer, a sublime singer and soulful interpreter of jazz and blues. She is also a great songwriter, and her talents have taken her far and wide – to Europe, and in recent times, to China. She has recorded in Spain, Germany, Singapore and Australia.  Apart from having an outstanding voice, she’s known for her spontaneous, warm and funny shows.

Freo author, Jay Martin, will by this month’s guest writer. Her first book, Vodka and Apple Juice: Travels of an Undiplomatic Wife in Poland, was published by Fremantle Press in 2018, winning the TAG Hungerford Award. Her new book, “Boom Town Snap” set between WA and Canada (and a real page-turner), was published earlier this year. Jay’s short-form writing has been featured in European and Australian publications including the Warsaw Insider, Warsaw Business Journal and news site, Crikey.

The event starts at 10.30am but be sure to get there early to grab refreshments from the café before the music starts.

We will have a small release of early bird tickets for $10.
