Freo Groove Presents - 'Coffee and Lyrics' with Fiona Rea and Guest Poet Emily Barker

Love to listen to top quality live music in an intimate setting?

Well, why not start your Sunday at “Hybrid Warehouse” in Fremantle, for a series of regular gatherings showcasing the best musicians around.

Fiona Rea is one of Western Australia’s most engaging singer song-writers.

Fiona “has a passion for storytelling, connection and melody.  For her ‘to sing is to breathe’ and with a voice at once honest and delicate, she sings to make sense of the world.” – Triple J Unearthed

Fiona has written some truly exquisite songs, including the WAM song-of-the-year ballad, Take Me Home, and has performed at festivals both in Australia and overseas.,

Emily Barker is a songwriter, tv/film composer and poet. She released her debut collection of poems “Where the Black Swans Swim” in June this year.

Bill Lawrie, one half of the folk duo Sea Swallow, will set the mood, then give yourself over to a memorable listening experience, to the heartfelt songs of Fiona Rea and the beautiful words of our guest poet.

The café will be open well ahead of the event starting. Please arrive early to get coffee and refreshments so that the room can be quiet in time for the show to begin at 10.30am

    Kids under 14 are free.
