Coffeehouse Concert #4: Champion Sound

The Coffeehouse Concert is a monthly intimate live music concert hosted at The Little Seed Café in the heart of Fremantle. These concerts have a focus on the audience's experience, highlighting comfort, audio fidelity and ambience. We strive to set the stage for a new way to experience live music from the best bands that Perth has to offer into the beautiful, retro café for all music lovers to witness.

Champion Sound is an instrumental jazz-funk four-piece group featuring Tomas Oliver on keyboards, Riley Fisher on drums, Phillip Serventy on bass, and Lucas Oliver on guitar. This high-energy, irresistibly danceable project draws inspiration from a wide range of influences, including 1970s funk and soul artists like Lonnie Liston Smith and Roy Ayers, as well as contemporary groups such as Bad Bad Not Good and Mildlife.

Sink into a couch with a coffee in hand as emerging and local bands perform heartfelt sets just a few metres away - no barriers, no theatrics. Surrounded by vintage décor, warm lighting, and a welcoming community of music lovers, each concert feels less like a concert and more like stumbling into a special session you were lucky enough to witness.
