Coil a Raffia Basket October 29
Event description
An introduction into making coiled raffia baskets with Mandy Craig at Glen Innes during spring! You’ll learn how to work with raffia, how to start circles, 3 different methods/materials that can be used, joining of materials, shaping your own basket creation and finishing off your basket.
Saturday October 29, 10am-4pm
You will take home your own unique basket creation. This workshop will give you all the knowledge and skills you will need to get creative with basket weaving! You can go onto creating beautiful, coiled baskets and even floor rugs from your fabric stash and use a wide array of sustainable coil materials such as bread bags or baling twine – the only limit is you imagination!
