Event description


Learn to craft your own beautiful raffia baskets, mats or earrings using the coil and stitch technique. This workshop is suitable for 12 years and over. All materials provided.

About the Artist

Donna Gordge is multi-disciplinary artist working from her home studio in Adelaide. Her work includes sculpture and installation, collage, and artists books - often incorporating textiles techniques in non-traditional ways. Her recent work explores identity, grief and loss associated with both death and aging. Donna often works with found objects and recycled materials because of the life they've already had.

Donna has also been an arts educator for 29 years. Since completing a Bachelor of Education (Visual Arts), she has taught in schools, aged care settings, TAFE and community-based adult learning environments.
