Samoan Creation Story Workshop
Event description
Gather to reflect on a traditional Samoan creation story and its implications for community connectedness now.
Join Lila Meleisea to share and explore the meeting places of ecology, spirituality and traditional cultures. Through sharing traditional and personal stories we will sit in contemplation with each other and use this momentum to create a collaborative resonance map. Each participant will be encouraged to come up with a motif or symbol that they would like to include in the collaborative artwork. By the end of this deeply reflective workshop, a new artwork will be created which captures the conversations and connections shared in the space.
