The Collaborence - A conference focusing on collaboration in psilocybin-assisted therapy

The Psilocybin Assisted Therapy Association (PATA), a volunteer-led national 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is honored to announce our first conference, the Collaborence, focused on how to address the mental health crisis using psilocybin-assisted therapy by encouraging all involved to collaborate for the best interest of the seeker (public).

The Collaborence is a one-day event consisting of panel discussions centered on identifying solutions to addressing the mental health crisis in Oregon and beyond. 

Event Highlights: 

• Panel discussions centered on improving collaboration and mutual education to improve psilocybin access in Oregon, within and outside of Oregon Psilocybin Services (OPS).
• Two attendance options: In-person attendance for people in Oregon and SW Washington and a live video online attendance option for those out of state and those needing an affordable option to attend and learn.
• An exhibitor area of licensed Oregon Psilocybin Services organizations and others supporting psilocybin-assisted therapy. In an effort to build collaboration and for all to attend, the exhibitor area will be a part of the main presentation area.
• Lunch is included in the ticket price for in-person attendees.
• 20% of the profits will be granted to two local nonprofits supporting psilocybin-assisted therapy in Oregon.

Outcomes: 

• Learn about OPS directly from OPS license holders based on current conditions.
• Explore ways licensed mental health providers, medical providers, facilitators, and non-licensed psychedelic professionals can work together for the seeker’s desired mental health.
• Learn how to help communities needing the most care access the correct services.
• Improve connections within the community together to address the mental health crisis.

PATA, www.pata-us.org, was founded in 2021 with the mission to promote the advancement of psilocybin-assisted therapy to address our mental health crisis. Our goals are to provide free and low-cost educational and empowerment resources to seekers, licensed mental health professionals, and psychedelic professionals on how they can work together and stay within their scope of practice for the benefit of seekers’ mental health.

We strive to keep our educational resources free or approachable for underserved, underrepresented, and unaware communities so they can feel empowered in determining their mental health options with psilocybin.

PATA will donate 20% of our profits to two Oregon based nonprofits, each receiving 10%.

• The Psilocybin Facilitators Association - a 501(c)6 trade organization supporting and advocating for OPS licensed psilocybin facilitators.Their mission is to foster a supportive and inclusive community of psilocybin facilitators and enthusiasts.
• UpHold our Troops - is a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to positively influence the mental health crisis in our military with the healing power of psilocybin. UpHold Our Troops provides scholarship support for those veterans, active military and family members who would like to become psilocybin facilitators.

Confirmed panels and panelists: How an interprofessional team can collaborate for a clients mental health: This panel is composed of licensed therapists, guides, and facilitators discussing how to improve collaboration to address their client's mental health. Panelists: Dr. Sarparast, MD with the OHSU Peace Center; Dr. MJ Wilt, PhD - psychologist, facilitator, and service center owner; Brad P. - guide and integration specialist with a MSW; Lisa Ritter, LPC - Co-Founder of PATA. Improving Oregon Psilocybin Services' (OPS) model: An open discussion by various OPS Licensees and an OPS representative to improve the process to be more client and community focused. Panelists: Mary Nielsen - Clinical Cognitive training center; Willy T. - facilitator and owner of Trippz service center; Tori Amhurst - Licensed grower and owner of Satori Farms manufacturing, Heidi Venture - facilitator and owner of Vital Reset; Jesse Sweet - OPS Policy Analyst. Improving Veteran care in Oregon inside and out of OPS's model: A military Veteran focused panel discussing the challenges and potential solutions to improving Veteran access to psilocybin-assisted therapy.
