Collage fantasy figures with Janene. It’s fun and easy

Would you like to experiment with magazines and other paper materials to create amazing fantasy faces and figures?

First up, using your imagination you will be explore human facial features and then Janene will show you how you can use unusual photographic elements to construct a face that can even include animal features.

After that we will explore another piece of art where we will create the human body.

Janene will provide you with all the materials that you need to create your two collage masterpieces.

About the artist

Jenene is a multi-skilled and innovative textile crafter and teacher, who spent many years teaching the arts to school students in the Adelaide Hills and beyond.

Janene has run school holiday arts activities for many years both within and outside the South Australian education system.

Her fun loving and inclusive approach to guiding young people through a range of creative processes results in a perfect environment for young people to flourish.

What else you need to know

Suitable for beginners 8-16 years (No previous sewing experience required).
We provide all materials.
If your circumstances change and you can no longer attend this workshop, please email nvouis@ahc.sa.gov.au before 5pm, Wednesday 30 September 2026. After this time and date, we cannot issue refunds.
We provide water and low or no sugar drinks.
