Collarts x M/FW present - Style Swap & Exchange

COLLARTS, the Australian College of the Arts, presents 'Style Swap and Service Exchange' to swap, NOT Shop!

Transform your wardrobe by swapping your pre-loved clothing with fellow fashion enthusiasts. Bring your quality garments to receive tokens and exchange for new-to-you fashion items.

Or do you have a fashion service you would like to exchange? You can also barter your fashion skills and services, whether you're a stylist, photographer, tailor, graphic designer- find a service you need. Network with like-minded individuals and participate in a collaborative and sustainable fashion community event.

Drop off items: 9.30 - 10.30am
Swap: 12.30 - 2.00pm

STYLE SWAP

If you are registered for the clothes swap please note the event details below: 

Guidelines:
• Limited amount of spaces available. Participants must register prior to the event to have the option to participate.
• To ensure that the quality of garments are of value to your fellow swapper, The Style Swap will not accept garments deemed “fast fashion” or designer counterfeit. All garments must meet quality standards- no stains, rips, holes, etc.
• Participants can drop off their garments at the registration station on Saturday 26 October between 9.30am - 10.30am. The Swap will happen later that day between 12.30pm and 2.00pm.
• Participants receive tokens based on the number of items they bring/services they provide. These tokens are used to "purchase" items/services from the style swap on the event day.
• Maximum 3 garments or 3 services.
• All garments left over at the end of the Style Swap will be provided to a not-for-profit organisation

SERVICE EXCHANGE

If you are participating for the fashion service exchange please follow these details:

Guidelines:

• Participants must complete this google form with service details no later than Friday 18th October.
• The information you provide will be printed and displayed at the Style Swap location.
• A physical “barter board” will be at the event which will display all available services for barter.
• Participants can review the service barter board to find a service match, make contact and barter on their terms of agreement.

This event forms part of the Collarts x Melbourne Fashion Week partnership, presenting a range of workshops and events on fashion sustainability and the future of the industry.
