Collective Circus Showcase
Description
Collective Circus Showcase
Join us for Collective Circus’ Annual Showcase, an end-of-year celebration of Collective Circus and the artists, students and community who have made this year so special.
The evening celebrates the achievements of both Collective Circus Classes and Collective Circus Company, bringing together our students and company artists to share their skills, creativity and work with friends, family and the wider community.
Featuring students from Collective Circus Classes, the showcase will highlight the skills, confidence and creativity our young performers have developed throughout the year through weekly training in handstands, acrobatics, tumbling and movement.
Our Wednesday class will present their own devised acts, as well as take part in a collaborative performance created alongside Collective Circus Company.
Our Sunday class has been exploring one of the concepts from the Collective Circus Company show, our happiest memories, through movement and tumbling. They will share moments of joy from their own lives, whether it’s enjoying an açai bowl with friends, swimming at the beach on a sunny day, or simply spending time with the people they love. These memories have been transformed into physical circus, bringing personal moments of happiness to life on stage.
Alongside our classes, Collective Circus Company will celebrate a year of creating, performing and developing new work, with selected acts from YELLOW, their new circus work in development. YELLOW explores happiness; the work invites us to play, connect, take risks, embrace small moments of joy and see the world through a brighter lens.
This showcase is a celebration of the year we have shared together, a chance to celebrate the achievements of our students and company artists, share what we love about circus with our community, and give you an insight into the ideas and creative world behind our new show, YELLOW, as we look towards 2027.

Collective Circus acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land, Meanjin, where we work, play, and create, the Jagera and Turrbal people. We pay our respects to the Elders past and present as they have cared for and nurtured this land since the very first sunrise.
Always was. Always will be.
