College of Science Discovery Projects (DPEI26) Workshop
Event description
For those of you intending or considering submitting a Discovery Project EOI (DPEI26) in the next round, the College of Science Research Committee is hosting a workshop to help guide applicants in writing strong EOIs. The workshop aims to provide you with additional tools to assist you with your proposal for the two-stage process.
Topics covered in the workshop will include:
- ARC DPEI26 Process Overview
- Insights on how a 2-stage process works (reflections on NZ’s Marsden scheme)
- Pitch Writing Exercise – for DPEI and beyond
- Interactive session peer reviewing early draft EOI’s
The session will also feature current and recent CoS ARC College of Experts members.
Wanted: Early drafts for EOI Peer Review Session
As part of the interactive session, we are seeking volunteers to submit their draft 2-page EOI which will be read and discussed in small table groups. If you have an early draft ready for discussion or are perhaps resubmitting an EOI from last year, please consider contributing it for the workshop. This exercise will provide useful discussion for all involved, and in addition, you will receive feedback on strengths and areas for improvement in your draft.
If you have a draft that you are happy to share, please let eo.cos@anu.edu.au know by Fridy, 25 October. You will be asked to email your draft the day before the session scheduled on 31 October (i.e please email your draft on Wednesday, 30 October). Our aim is to have at least one draft for discussion at each of our workshop tables and your draft will not be shared beyond that group.
