    About the speakers

Suzie Hoban, Head of Impact and Partnerships, Market Lane Coffee

Originally from Melbourne/Naarm, Suzie Hoban was living in Singapore and working at an advertising agency when she decided to use her professional skills for good, instead of selling more body spray to young men. She moved to Italy to study a Masters of Food Culture and Communications at the University of Gastronomic Sciences, which was where she learned that her two passions in life, coffee and chocolate, are not always as fair as they are delicious.

Following a geographic path as straightforward as her career, she moved first to Colombia, then Norway, and now back to Australia, to help create equitable value chains that recognise, respect and reward farmers for investing in quality, and to help customers appreciate and understand the value of beautiful specialty coffee.

As Head of Impact and Partnerships at Market Lane Coffee, Suzie is responsible for finding more and better ways to use business as a force for good, while connecting with our most important communities: our coffee suppliers, our team and our customers.
