Three lectures on Colonial Connections: “Fernhill and the wider context of early colonial society” hosted by the Friends of Fernhill and Mulgoa Valley Inc. under the auspices of National Trust Australian Heritage Festival “Our Heritage for the Future”:

“Defending Country: remembering the long history of love and war on the Nepean River” by Dr. Grace Karskens
“The Colonial Picturesque: landscapes in early Sydney” by Colleen Morris
“Sermons in Stones: houses and buildings in the 1840s” by Dr James Broadbent.

Lectures will be held in the Edmund Rice Retreat and Conference Centre at Winbourne, Mulgoa on Sunday 16th May 2021 at 9.30 am (morning tea) for 10 am start. Lunch is included in the registration fee. Lectures will be followed by an optional visit to Fernhill with afternoon tea, courtesy of Greater Sydney Parklands.
