A full session incorporating painting, working with clay, games and activities from 10am to 3pm.
We are all super beings in different ways. Some are super listeners, super sharers or super energetic. This workshop is a chance to discover and paint your super form with any features you can imagine. We can make your super hero in clay or create your favourite animal, food, flower or fantasy creature in clay.
Your tutor for the day is Lumiel who is visiting from Canberra in Australia as part of the Whangārei Fringe Festival. Lumiel is an experienced community artist, youth counsellor and an amazing being!
* Clay work made in this workshop can be glazed in the Friday 7th or Friday 14th October Glazing workshops at the Quarry Arts Centre. The glazing workshop must be booked direct through www.quarryarts.org
** Please tell us when you arrive if you are also booked in the Glazing workshop (we will keep your clay work aside ready for glazing)

What children need to bring:
● Suitable clothes that are ok for getting a bit dirty and potentially stained
● Clothing for the weather conditions
● Lunch, snacks and a drink bottle
Other things to know:
Parents/guardians/care-givers need to register kids on arrival and provide a designated pick-up person. Please advise us on arrival of any important considerations (e.g. medical, allergies, custodial). We are unable to cater for unassisted children with special learning or behavioural support needs - we welcome support carers, but please check with us before booking.
This workshop is held at the Quarry Arts Centre as part of the October school holiday art program.
If a class is cancelled a full refund will be given. In all other situations refunds for no-shows are at our discretion and an administration fee may be deducted. We appreciate that circumstances change, and unforeseen events happen. We will do our best to help.
