Colourful Patchwork Cushion or Bunting Sewing Workshop

Sew fun for kids! is a place to learn all about sewing while making fun projects that you can take home and treasure.

In these fun school holiday workshops you can choose to make:

- a colourful patchwork cushion or

- fun bunting.

This workshop is suitable for boys and girls aged 7 and up. 

You will learn how to:

- use a sewing machine 

- sew around corners 

- add stuffing

- hand sew a whip stitch or a ladder stitch

- sew on buttons.

Each child will have a sewing machine to learn at and all fabrics and accessories are included. Fabrics may vary.

You will need to bring along a packed morning tea/afternoon tea and water bottle. Please do not include any food items that contain nuts or traces of nuts.

Please note: If you are booking for both the morning and afternoon workshop, please bring along a packed lunch as well to eat between  the workshops.

Sew fun for kids! accepts Service NSW Creative Kids vouchers.

If you would like to use a voucher, select the Creative Kids voucher ticket. The ticket price will be reduced to reflect the use of the $50 voucher. You will also be required to enter:

- the voucher number

- your child's name

- your child's date of birth.

All of these details are required for me to register your voucher.

If you have a gift certificate, please select the gift certificate ticket.

A minimum of 4 children are required for the workshop to go ahead. Each workshop has a maximum of 8 participants.


The workshops run from 9am to 12pm or 12.30pm at 4/31 Terminus St, Castle Hill. Our studio has an internal toilet so children do not need to leave the studio during the day.

Please note, we are unable to provide a refund if a cancellation is made less than two weeks prior to the workshop as we will have purchased all of the fabrics and accessories for your child. In the event you are unable to attend we are very happy to provide you with the fabric kit and pattern instructions for you to pick up from the studio and create at home.
