The Columbia City Night Market, happening every third Saturday of the month, is a vibrant Seattle destination. COLUMBIA CITY NIGHT MARKET RULES AND CONDITIONS
Vendor Categories and Fees (Subject to Approval by Peace Peloton):
- Community Organizations - $25
- Non-profit or community organizations supporting Peace Peloton’s mission or providing a community service. (community organization may not sale products).
- Vendors (Makers and Creators) - $75
- Local/small businesses creating products/services for sale.
- Vendors (Resellers) - $100
- Individuals selling products from other manufacturers.
- Food Trucks - $100
- Vendors preparing/serving food/beverages on-site from trucks, vans, trailers, or food tents.
- Corporations and Government Agencies - $150
- Medium to large organizations/institutions serving a broad audience (limit four per market).
Vendor Information:
- Date & Market Hours: Every Third Saturday, 6pm - 10pm.
- Location: 37th Ave South between S. Hudson and S. Edmonds streets, Seattle, WA, 98118.
- Vendor Load-In: 3:30pm – 5:30pm; late arrivals risk losing their slot.
- Food Trucks: Enter on South Ferdinand Street for setup.
- Vendor Load-Out: Begins at 10:00pm unless pre-approved by Peace Peloton.
- Slot Assignment: Done within 24 hours prior to each Night Market.
- Vendor Equipment: Vendors responsible for setup equipment.
- Market Lighting: Peace Peloton provides general lighting; vendors responsible for additional lights/power.
- Vendor Canopy Tents: Limited to 10’X10’, must use weights for stability.
- Vendor Slot Occupation: Only registered vendors allowed in designated areas.
- Cancellation Policy: Written notice required at least 48 hours prior for credit towards future markets.
- Refund Policy: Strict no-refund policy.
- Vetting: Our vendor-friendly approach avoids rigid vetting. We prioritize uniqueness by monitoring and limiting duplicates, ensuring a diverse marketplace for your success.
Vendor Conduct: Vendors agree to:
- Conduct themselves courteously and respectfully.
- Remain in allocated spaces during market hours.
- Avoid behavior that disrupts other vendors' businesses.
- Use appropriate language and avoid intoxication.
- Sell/display family-friendly items only.
- Operate vehicles/equipment safely and legally.
- Follow Seattle, King County, and Washington state laws.
- No smoking or vaping except in designated areas.
- Comply with health regulations and licensing requirements.
- Respect all societal groups, refraining from demeaning behavior.
- Assume responsibility for unsafe or unauthorized products sold.
Prohibited Items for Sale:
- Alcohol: Sale without proper licensing is prohibited.
- Drugs and Controlled Substances: Illegal substances are strictly forbidden.
- Tobacco Products: Might be restricted or prohibited.
- Firearms and Ammunition: Usually not allowed for sale.
- Pharmaceuticals and Prescription Medications: Sale without proper authorization is prohibited.
- Stolen or Counterfeit Goods: Selling stolen or fake products is illegal.
- Hazardous or Toxic Materials: Items posing health risks are not allowed.
- Pets or Live Animals: Sale might not be permitted.
- Expired or Spoiled Food Items: Unsafe food products are prohibited.
- Items Lacking Proper Permits or Certifications: Must meet regulatory standards.
