Combining Pen and Watercolour
Event description
Pen and watercolour, also called “line and wash”, is an effective combination for travel and nature journals. The ink lines give clear definition while the quick-drying watercolour wash allows for gentle and free flowing expression.
This workshop will suit people with some basic drawing and watercolour experience who would like to experiment with combining pen and watercolour wash.
Tanya will provide a basic overview of watercolour techniques and use of fine tip pens. Feel free to bring preliminary drawings, done in pencil, and photographs you might want to work from.
Materials will be supplied, but participants are encouraged to bring their own where possible.
Reminder: Bring your reading glasses if you need to use them!
