Come and Try Canoe Polo - Venturers, Rovers, and Adults.  Saturday 18th May 2024, 9:30am – 12pm.

Canoe Polo is an exciting team event played on 35m x 23m pitches set up in swimming pools or on flat stretches of water. Teams of 5 paddlers endeavour to score goals in a net suspended 2m above the water, the ball being thrown by hand, or ‘flicked’ with the paddle. Naturally, the team with the most goals at the end of the match wins the game.

Canoe Polo SA are a Scouts SA third party provider and will be running the session.

The come and try session is being run for Scouts SA and a school, so non-scouting youth / adults will be in attendance. 

Scouts SA Leader Amanda Lee, Branch Commissioner Paddling, will be in attendance.

Youth required to sign in with Amanda (who will be in Scout uniform) on arrival.

Youth members can register to attend without a Scout Leader.  Parents / carers are encouraged to stay and watch.

Previous paddling experience recommended.

PAYMENT:

    • Cost: $12 per person, payable at registration.  Includes BBQ lunch.

LOCATION:

Bartley Bridge, West Lakes.

Arrive by 9:30am for a 10am start.

Youth Details Form (Y4) and Paddle SA Health Information form need to be emailed to Amanda at bc.paddling@sa.scouts.com.au by the 10th of May 2024.

Canoe Polo SA are supplying all equipment required.

REFUNDS:

Payable in the event the activity is cancelled by organisers.

Any email will be sent by 7pm Friday 17th

May 2024 if the event is cancelled.
