Come and Try Longsword

This  class is an introduction to the fundamentals of the sword in two hands - a versatile and dynamic weapon of a less civilised age. You'll learn basic footwork, cuts and parries, and be introduced to important principles of fencing from historical treatises. And then put it all into action!

Due to the evolving situation we have moved our classes OUTDOORS at the
same venue, with all toilets and other amenities still available (even including unpacking our outdoor air con).

If you like it, you can jump right in and do our four week introductory longsword course for only an extra $20! Classes continue in the same space throughout January.

This session is suitable for all over 14. All gear provided - just bring yourself and wear comfortable sports clothes and light shoes with non marking soles.

Adelaide Sword Academy is a professionally run HEMA* school, We teach, compete, and win regularly at interstate, national and international events.

Our classes are suitable for all ages, genders, and physical types, using modern equipment and teaching methods. We run classes five days a week at multiple Adelaide locations, so getting into historical fencing has never been easier. Come join us! 

ASA also runs kids classes for ages 7-14, starting with the school term.
