Newcastle Comedy Club is an intimate, New York-style stand-up comedy venue on Maitland Road, Islington. As Newcastle’s first and only dedicated comedy club, it brings a dynamic weekly rotation of local and touring comedians through its flagship Friday and Saturday showcases, along with free open-mic nights—typically held on Tuesdays—for emerging talent to test their material. The venue is renowned for spotlighting both home-grown acts and major Australian names, such as Wil Anderson and Tom Gleeson, offering audiences a memorable night in a live comedy atmosphere.
