Join rogue wine-lover and recovering marketing executive Prétentieux vin Branleur for many unexpected lessons about what’s hype, what’s true, how it's made and why it makes us all feel fabulous.

After a successful opening at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, Prétentieux is now staging the 80-minute show he always intended - more laughs, more amazing history of Champagne, and more bubbles.

- Is actual French Champange served?
Of course! You can't call it champagne if it's not from the Champagne region of Northern France!
The show includes a blind tasting of five French Champagnes, ranging from absolute bargains to prestige cuvees in the three-figure range. Each one revealed with much surprise and celebration.
- What's the running time of the show?
It's an 80-minute show, but sometimes it goes 5 minutes longer, depending on how much fun the audience is, and how many questions they ask about champagne. It's highly interactive with plenty of opportunities to ask your questions about champagne and wine making.
- Is food available to enjoy with the show?

- Does it suit people who don't know much about wine and champagne?
It sure does. You'll learn some basics about winemaking and winetasting, and learn some inside secrets about wine and champagne, minus the pretension.
And the show is fun for people who know quite a bit about champagne too - thanks to popping the bubbles of some myths and misconceptions.

Yes the oeniphiles amongst us will be delighted too, thanks to Prétentieux's deep knowledge of winemaking and champagne, with key insights into the origins and nuances of each wine tasted.
