Event description

Comedy Gold Tour 2023 - One of the funniest touring Comedy Shows going around Australia "Comedy Gold" is back this year and performing at the Kojonup Memorial Hall on Saturday 26 August 2023.

The line up is filled with some of Australia’s most diverse, funniest and award-winning comedians.

Doing over 2000km all around Western Australia and completing 10 shows is no mean feat and this years line up includes Simone Springer, Emo Majek, Kel Balnaves and Kat Davidson who are ready to deliver a knock out show.

Springer Springer: Simone won The Comics Choice Award (WA comedy awards “The Dousties” 2021) and is part of the sell out and award winning comedy group The Motherhood Comedy and the co host of Sunday Singles at the Comedy Lounge and is the host of The Couch TV segment “Questionable” on Foxtel.

Kel Balnaves: Kel is a skilled MC, performer and headline comedian touring throughout Australia and is a regular guest comedian on board P&O Cruise ships. Kel has been performing at festivals like the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festival for over 10 years! Wet behind the ears, Kel performed in his first Adelaide Fringe way back in 2008. His ears have now dried out and he has since written and performed 9 solo shows on the trott. His most recent show won an Adelaide Fringe weekly award for best comedy. Instantly likeable and infinitely relatable, Kel Balnaves is a laconic story teller with a keen eye for those everyday things we all experience. Solid, reliable and punchy, he is the act to bet on.

Kat Davidson: Kat has 24 years comedy experience, brilliant stories and keeps the laughs coming, no matter who is in the audience. Seeing Kat on stage is like visiting an old friend you haven’t met yet. She’s shared the stage with the world’s best comics (Stephen K Amos, Steven Wright, Dave Hughes to shamelessly name drop a few), tamed a shed full of drunk miners, kept a 21-year marriage off the rocks and is currently being parented by her nine year old.

Emo Majok: Emo Straight From Australia's Got Talent Grand Final. Some might say that Emo was born to be a comedian long before the stages. Emo draws on his childhood for laughs, both as a refugee and his family life today as a father of two and fiancee is an ever-changing source of material. He loves the styles of comedy greats Steve Harvey, Bernie Mac, Eddie Murphy and Chris Rock.

Doors open at 6.00pm with the show commencing at 7.00pm.
Bar facilities, finger food and nibbles will be available for purchase.

This is a 15+ event and contains some strong language and sexual connotations.
