Comedy on Elm Street: Lamont Price, Graig Murphy, more
Event description
Comedy returns to the Elm Draught House Cinema on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 9:30 p.m. with Lamont Price, Graig Murphy, James Dorsey and Mona Forgione.
Lamont Price was named "Best of Boston" twice by both Boston Magazine and Improper Bostonian and is the host of "Lamont's Boston" on Channel 10 Boston, the NBC affiliate. He is the co-creator and co-creator of the Boston Calling Comedy Stage. He has been featured in Hulu’s “Triumph The Insult Comic Dog’s Election Special”, “NPR: Bullseye with Jesse Thorn”, “Funny Or Die’s Oddball Comedy Tour” and was been named to “Comedy Central’s Comics to Watch.” He has appeared in every major festival including Montreal Just for Laughs, Rooftop Comedy Aspen Festival, Hampton Beach Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Festival, NY Comedy Festival, Women in Comedy Festival and Rogue Island Comedy Festival just to name a few. He has shared the stage with hundreds of comedians including Hannibal Buress, Eric Andre, Dave Attel, Judah Friedlander, the late Patrice O’Neal, Jessica Williams, Brian Kiley, Steven Wright, Dane Cook, Marc Maron, Greg Fitzsimmons, Wyatt Cenac, Dom Irrera, Bob Marley, Phoebe Robinson and Louis C.K.
Graig Murphy started out in comedy by using his impressions of sports and television personalities but has now grown into a National Headliner and a quick witted act of everyday humor. Graig works every venue possible throughout New England, and cruise ships around the world. Along with the northeast clubs, he has also appeared many times at the Comix Comedy Club at Foxwoods Resort Casino, the Riviera Casino in Las Vegas and the Ft. Lauderdale Comedy Club.
James Dorsey is an insurance salesman by day and a comedian by night! After receiving his first D-minus for conduct in the second grade, Dorsey said he realized school was not his cup of tea and took his “disruptive in class” trademark to the stand-up stage and never looked back. He shares life experiences through high energy, witty acting-out, and playful facial expressions. His use of imitations and characters is incredibly vivid and entertaining. He has shared the stage with Joe Rogan, Bryan Callen, Jerry Seinfeld, Patrice O’Neal, Jim Gaffigan, Michael Ian Black, Gilbert Gottfried, and Steven Wright. Dorsey can be seen in every major comedy club in New England and will remain in your head and heart long after he has made his exit from the stage.
After retiring from competitive Roller Derby with two busted up shoulders, city girl Mona Forgione is now a New Hampshire mother of three and has fully embraced the midlife crisis of standup comedy. Audiences approve. She's advanced up the ranks of the New England Comedy scene, sharing the stage with headliners such as Mike McDonald, Dave Rattigan and Kathe Farris. She was a semifinalist in the 2020 Boston Comedy Festival, performed at the 2022 Portland Maine Comedy Festival, and has made radio appearances on FrankFm with Mike Morin, WGIR with Jack Heath, and WJYY with Nazzy Nazz.
