    Event description

Mike McDonald and Jim Colliton head up a killer lineup that also includes the hysterical Mike Karsok and Dan Crohn as comedy returns to the Elm Draught House Cinema, 35 Elm Street, Millbury MA on Saturday, February 24. It's a late show in a great, fun venue with a smart, savvy comedy audience.

Showtime is 9:30 and tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door.

Mike McDonald has performed in 50 countries, from the exotic (Tahiti) to the frigid (Greenland), and has done 10 USO Tours entertaining American troops.  He's performed on HBO, Comedy Central, Showtime, A&E and hosted two shows that won national ACE Awards for best local origination comedy show. He wrote columns for the Boston Globe and Boston Herald, and has performed at the Berklee Performance Center, the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, the Music Hall in Portsmouth, N.H., the Hartford Civic Center, and more.

Dan Crohn was named one of the top 100 comics for Season 9 of Last Comic Standing and has appeared on Gotham Comedy Live on AXS TV and Laughs on Fox. He decided he wanted to be a comedian after stumbling upon his dad's Henny Youngman records at age 8, and a job teaching teaching fourth graders provided him with endless amounts of material. That, along with observations and stories of family and friends, has entertained audiences all over the country. A semifinalist in the Boston Comedy Festival and Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, he has performed with a number of well-known headliners -- among them Doug Stanhope, Jim Norton, and Pauly Shore.

After spending his teen years in hand-me-down Vidal Sassoon jeans from five older sisters, Jim Colliton parlayed his travails into a top spot on Ed McMahon’s Next Big Star. He has since appeared on Comedy Central, NBC, Fox, and CBS. Married and raising three kids in the Boston suburbs, Jim’s comedy focuses on the Dads: from lousy father day gifts to buying the wrong thing at the supermarket. He and fellow comedian Karen Morgan perform in theaters in the show Lawn & Order, about family life. His first album, Stories from the Suburbs, was named Best Comedy Album by the Just Plain Folks Music Festival in Nashville. His second, Why is Dad so Angry, is one of the most requested comedy albums on Sirius XM radio. Jim’s DryBar Comedy special is Please, Take the Lunch!

Mike Karsok is a young Boston based comic making an impression on the scene.  Legally blind, his comedy is a blend of observations along with his unique perspective on life. He has performed at The Comedy Studio and The Cabot Theater. He has shared the stage with Paul Nardizzi and Kelly MacFarland.
