Third Space Improv Hosts Comedy Writing with Rich Talarico - a 6-week online course
Rich shares insights and writing techniques from his 20+ years in late night TV (SNL, MADtv, Key & Peele, The Tonight Show) and from having written five resident company shows for Second City in Chicago. Students will learn how to:
*Write jokes
*Write blackouts
*Write runners and desk pieces
*Brainstorm areas and pitch their scene ideas
*Outline a scene/story-structure
*Tell a story
*Come up with endings
Class will cover a wide variety of sketch types. Students will also learn how to contribute to others’ work; a vital writers room skill.
Thursdays, May 30 - July 11 (No class on July 4.)
