Located in the heart of Bellingen at Happymess studio, this workshop will be Co-facilitated with local professional Fantasy Illustrator Richard Sampson. Richard has illustrated numerous comic books and fantasy novels (most recently the Lone Wolf series). In this workshop young people will learn the basic techniques involved in creating a character and story line.

Participants will transform a basic pencil sketch into a fully rendered and shaded character. Young people will have an opportunity to learn techniques using a variety of fine tip pens and inks to bring these creations to life.

All materials supplied - participants will leave with their own visual diary they have used throughout the term. Limited spaces available so early bookings recommended.

Please note this is not an Art Therapy lead group.

Creative NSW Creative Kids Vouchers

Happymess Studio is eligible for Service NSW Creative Kids vouchers. Parents, guardians and carers in NSW can claim a $50 voucher per child per year from Service NSW.

The voucher can be used with registered providers to put towards the cost of fees for creative activities.

You can apply for your voucher via the Service NSW website. It is a quick and easy process, as long as you have your medicare card handy!

If you have multiple children with vouchers, please book separately.

*If you spend less than the value of your vouchers for a purchase, you cannot use the remaining value of the voucher. For example, if you use a your $50 voucher for a $15 workshop, you cannot claim the remaining value of $35.

*If your total purchase price is more than the value of the voucher, the remaining balance cannot be paid. We unfortunately cannot accept split payments.

Vouchers can only be used:

for the person named on the voucher
towards registration or membership fees with an approved Creative Kids provider.

If the fees for your chosen activity are less than the full value of the voucher, the remaining balance is forfeited and cannot be used.
