Learn how to create your own cartoon character with help from an experienced cartoon animator!

Base your character on a person you know, a pet, your own imagination or even yourself and use tips and tricks from the workshop to bring your character to life!

Character design is fun for any skill level and any age and is an exciting way to use basic drawing skills to create totally unique drawings. Spongebob Squarepants, Bluey and Blinky Bill all began as a sketch on a page. What will you be able to come up with?

Pixel Perfect!

Learn how to create your own pixel art creations with the help of a professional digital artist.

Pixel art is often found in games but it can also be created on the page! Learn how to simplify characters and designs into pixels with a few easy steps. Also be shown ways to make your pixel drawings pop and have detail in very little space.

Pixel art is fun for any age and any skill level and is a great way to flex your creative muscles. Many of our favourite characters started out as a few pixels, Mario, Sonic, Peach, Donkey Kong to name a few, maybe you’ll create the next pixel sensation!

Draw your own Dragon!

Be guided by experienced artist Madeleine Karutz in how to draw your own dragon! Learn how to draw dragons that live in the ocean, sky, swamps or rainforests using simple construction techniques. Learn to draw hero dragons, sleepy dragons and just plain villainous dragons! All skill levels welcome, it's never too soon or late to be drawing what your scaly pal would look like!

Learn how to bring a simple story to life through the magic of comics. Be shown techniques on how to make your comics engaging, readable and filled with your own unique voice.

All skill levels welcome, you’re never too young or old to explore the exciting medium of comics. There are always ways to tell a story differently when you're making comics and that's part of the fun!
