Comic Club with Anu | Workshop | 14-17 year olds

UK-based DJ and comic artist Anu is coming to Goolugatup - and during her visit, she'll be hosting a special comic making workshop for teens! Bring along your favourite song/s and Anu will guide you in her process in crafting a comic inspired by your favourite tracks. All materials (including pizza and softies) will be provided ✏️🍕🥤
Please note that this workshop is for people aged 14 - 17 years old.

About Anu:
Anu Ambasna (she/they) is a London-born Artist, DJ and Broadcaster of Indian descent. Anu’s self-taught artistic practice focuses on building worlds through her intricate hand drawn comics and publications.
Anu is the founder of CAMP! (Creative Alternative to Mainstream Publishing) is a London based publishing house that amplifies marginalised voices, creating a space that encompasses shared learning + joy. As a publishing house, CAMP! produces printed material for and by audiences who we feel rarely get passed the mic and can speak for themselves ✍(◔◡◔)
As a DJ, anu is an established presence in both her local underground scene, but also on a more global level: from October 2019 - 2020, she was a resident on BBC Asian Network, she was label manager at Rhythm Section for two years. She holds an ongoing weekly residency on NTS Radio’s flagship show, Soup To Nuts. Her NTS Radio show was nominated for a DJ Mag Award in 2021.
