Coming Back to Life: Connection in Times of Crisis- CoW Sustainable Communities Workshop Series

This no-cost, in-person workshop is the fifth in the City of Whittlesea's Sustainable Communities Workshop Series.
Facilitators from Psychology for a Safe Climate will lead a session designed to be nourishing, fun, and connected! In this retreat-style event, we will be heading outdoors to enjoy nature, explore and reconnect with one another. Facilitator Beth Hill will lead us through several activities and share with us the concepts of deep ecology, mindful self-compassion, and Joanna Macy’s active hope.
Attendees will take home a nature journal and practical tips on selfcare, including resources and actions that build resiliency. Registrations are capped at 24, so don't wait to register as this retreat is sure to fill up quickly.
Lunch will be provided, so please note any dietary needs when registering. If you plan to bring children, please make sure they are not left unattended as we'll be exploring near a wetlands area.
The CoW Sustainable Communities Workshop Series aims to up-skill City of Whittlesea community members in the art of sustainable, climate-resilient living and community-building.
Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions to be entered into a prize drawing at the series' end. Every workshop participant will also receive a certificate of recognition for their participation and have the opportunity to share their learnings and creations at the celebration showcase in November 2023.
