Common Ground: Session #1
Description
On Saturday the 5th of December from 5:45pm until 12am, Common Ground takes over Bar 303's Front Bar and Bandroom for Session #1 with a lineup that champions underrepresented voices across many genres and styles.
Expect hours of the most talented voices Naarm's live music scene has to offer, with a lineup of acts that are all fronted by women and gender-non-conforming creatives!
In the front bar will be The Hollows and Eadiella, setting the tone with folky storytelling. Then in the bandroom will be Jasmin Adria (with her band), Hannah and the Heartstrings, The Mods and Keira J & The Mice, sharing tunes across folk, rock and jazz with hints of many other genres. For more information on each artist, read their bios below...
The first Common Ground session will be one to remember, with a happy hour from 5-8pm and exclusive merch items!
See you there :)

Lineup

The Hollows
The Hollows are a singer/songwriter folk duo based in Melbourne, whose lyrics take centre stage amongst rich acoustic soundscapes. Their poignant and raw storytelling invites listeners to a page of their diary, sharing an emotional journey through intricate harmonies and soft vocals. With combinations of guitars, pianos and delicate strings, The Hollows creates music with honesty and tenderness, valuing the feelings behind their songs.
Eadiella
Jasmin Adria

Hannah and the Heartstrings
Hannah and the Heartstrings are the folk rock darlings of Melbourne, led by frontwoman Hannah Harding and are known for a nostalgic, vintage revival sound reminiscent of The Cranberries, Paramore, and Joan Jett. They deliver powerful, introspective, and sometimes nihilistic lyrics, and a transformative live experience.

The Mods
Arguably one of the only Melbourne / Naarm band whose music is truly genre-defying, The Mods are carving out a distinct place in the local scene with a sound that effortlessly blends jazz, rock and folk; there's always a little something for everyone. The band are known for their hypnotic three-part-harmonies, shimmering guitars and punchy rhythms that leave audiences no choice but to either drift into a trance-like state or dance for their lives.

Keira J & The Mice
Keira J & The Mice are a jazz-folk band scuttling around the Naarm scene, delivering heartfelt harmonies, and lovingly crafted, human songs. At a Mice show you’re sure to experience a luscious blend of genres spanning folk, jazz, and singer-songwriter elements, plus a splash of funk and dancey grooves. Marrying intricately thought-out arrangements with playful improvisation, they concoct a complex, genre-defying, and immersive experience to be remembered.
