Description

Event Overview

The Building Blocks (0–12 years) session with Maggie Dent focuses on the early foundations that support children’s resilience, emotional wellbeing and healthy development. Grounded in research and real‑world experience, this session highlights why the everyday moments in childhood matter, and how small, consistent actions can have a powerful impact over time.

Maggie introduces her 10 resilience building blocks for children aged 0–12, offering parents, carers and educators practical insight into how children develop emotionally and socially in today’s fast‑paced, high‑pressure world.

What the Session Will Cover

Participants will explore:

  • Why the early years are critical for building lifelong resilience

  • The 10 Building Blocks that support emotional strength and self‑esteem

  • The role of play, connection, boundaries and life skills in healthy development

  • How modern pressures such as stress, screens and over‑structure affect children

  • Simple, achievable strategies that can be applied at home and in learning environments

The session is practical, reassuring and grounded in common sense, focusing on what really helps children thrive.

Who Should Attend

This session is ideal for parents, carers, educators and anyone supporting children aged 0–12 who wants to better understand how to nurture resilience, confidence and wellbeing during the formative years.
