• How do I get to the venue?

  • Friends’ Meeting House is behind Central Library - from the front of the library, walk through the entrance to the right and out into the alley on the other side. Friends’ Meeting House is across the road when you reach the metal gates. 

  Tram

  • The nearest stop is St Peter’s Square, a 1 minute walk from the front door. 

  
  Bicycle 

  • You can lock your bicycle on the stands to the side of the building - These are in a sheltered spot but are not covered. Another five similar stands are available on the pavement opposite Friends Meeting House. 

  • Fully folded cycles can be brought into the Meeting House. 

  Bus

  • The free Metroshuttle bus number 2 stops a 13 minute walk away on Cheapside. This bus runs every 10 minutes from Manchester Piccadilly.

  Train 

  • The nearest train station is ManchesterOxford Road which is a 10 minute walk away. The venue is a 15 minute walkaway from Salford Central and Manchester Victoria. Manchester Piccadilly is a 20 minute walk away. 
    

  Parking

  • There are no parking facilities on site and we encourage all delegates to use public transport where possible 

  • Manchester central car park is an 8 minute walk away. You can find more information by clicking here.

  • Alternative, you can park in Q-Park’s First Street Car Park (click here to view on Googlemaps). To receive 10% off your parking, you can book in advance using the promocode  PT0417FMH at http://www.q-park.co.uk/parking/manchester/q-park-first-street

  • Other parking spaces can be found at on the Your Parking Space website. You will need to book these spaces in advance. 

  Accessible parking

  • There are spaces for disabled parking badge holders on Mount Street opposite the main entrance - you can find them here on Googlemaps.

  • Alternative disabled parking spaces can be found on the Manchester council website here.

• Is the venue accessible?

  Level access and floor access 

  • The building is accessible by a ramp from street level. The front door can be opened by a button which can be pressed from inside and outside the building. 

  Lifts 

  • The first floor is accessible from the ground floor via the lift, which holds one wheelchair user or six people (without equipment) at a time.

    • Lift Dimensions: Door H:2000mm x W:900mm

    • Interior H:2070mm x W:1100mm x D:1400mm

  Accessible toilets 

  • There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor and a disabled toilet on the first floor with access via the lift

  Hearing loops 

  • There is a hearing loop system in the Main Hall

  • Assistance dogs are welcome at the event
