Increase your confidence when communicating in your clinical workplace with Communicating with Confidence, a new PMCV course. 

About the Course 

Communicating with Confidence is a new PMCV course designed to help you increase your confidence when communicating in a variety of clinical settings. CWC will provide you with strategies to manage nerves in a high-pressure environment, techniques on how to create strong first-impressions with your voice, body and presence, in addition to being able to respond confidently to challenging questions and scenarios. 

Participants will participate in a unique, interactive learning experience which will explore how several voice and breathing techniques can improve your confidence when thinking on your feet in a professional environment.  CWC Outcomes By the end of CWC, you will be able to: 
  1. Utilise techniques which will enable you to deliver your message clearly through positive communications
  2. Utilise breathing and voice control skills that will allow you to communicate clearly and confidently
  3. Improve your ability to negotiate the best outcomes for you and your patients
  4. Apply skills learnt in CWC to respond confidently in the moment 

Assumed Knowledge

This course assumes you to meet current AHPRA Registration requirements for English literacy or equivalent. The content will require participants to adapt the English language using techniques such as paraphrasing, rephrasing or substituting words, sentences and ideas.

Effective breathing and vocal strategies for communication

Break 11:00am - 11:15am

Non-verbal cues, cadence and timing

11:15am - 1:15pm
Lunch 1:15pm - 1:45pm
Communicating on the spot
1:45pm - 3:45pm
Summary and Close 3:45pm - 4:00pm

Post-course Evaluation

Post-course evaluations are circulated (via Survey Monkey) to participants on the day of the course. The post-course evaluation will review participants’ course experience, assess learning, rate facilitator skills and obtain overall feedback.

Course Acknowledgment

Post-course evaluations will advise all participants they will receive a certificate of completion from PMCV 1-2 working days following completion of the survey. A week after course completion, all course participants are sent their certificates.

Refund policy
